New York Airport Bans Chick-fil-A

New York Assemblyman Sean Ryan praised the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority and the food vendor company for the Buffalo Niagara International Airport deciding to ban Chick-fil-A from the airport.

"I strongly urge the NFTA to reverse this decision", the Democrat wrote.

Last month lawmakers in Texas barred Chick-fil-A from setting up shop at the San Antonio airport, much to the anger of Senator Ted Cruz.

"A publicly financed facility like the Buffalo Niagara International Airport is not the appropriate venue for a Chick-fil-A restaurant".

"Because a lot of times you've heard about Chick-fil-A's stance on everything and the fact that they're actually doing something about it now is shocking to me and in a place like Texas", said Madison Brast, a College Station resident.

Chick-fil-A's charitable giving foundation "gave $1.8 million to discriminatory groups in 2017, despite reportedly claiming it was winding down that practice past year", ThinkProgress reported last month, citing "newly released tax filings". "We embrace all people, regardless of religion, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation or gender identity".
