It was revealed at the NY show of that year in fact, so there's no better place to pull the covers off this latest special edition five decades later. The current Z starts at about $30K and goes up to about $47K for the Nismo.

Under the hood is the same well-known and beloved 3.8-liter twin-turbo V-6, but its turbos have been swapped out for those found in the GT-R GT3 race auto with a modified turbine design with fewer blades to increase acceleration response time by 20 percent. That means it's still spitting out 600 horsepower and 481 pound-feet of torque to all four wheels, but the updates for 2020 further leverage that grunt.

The Nismo gets a new turbocharger design that's been pulled straight from the GT-R GT3 race auto, resulting in improved engine response. Grippier Dunlop rubber will help make the most of the snappier power delivery.

A new carbon ceramic brake system has been added for 2020 to haul things back to reality with 16.1-inch rotors up front and 15.3-inch rotors in back. Compared to the 2019 GT-R NISMO, the 2020 version is lighter by 44 pounds thanks to the carbon-fiber diet and other lightweight components.

Launched as a 2020 model, the 50th Anniversary Zed will likely be available in the States soon - there's no word yet on any United Kingdom availability.

Pricing still hasn't been announced, but the 2020 GT-R Nismo will hit dealers this summer.

He was then allowed back into the United States and released on his own recognizance in Phoenix, Hernandez said. Kyrsten Sinema, D-Ariz., told the Republic that they were working with Hernandez and ICE to resolve the case.

The 2020 370Z is available in Base, Sport, Sport Touring, and Nismo trims, with the 50th Anniversary based on the Sport model. See as well the 50th Anniversary badges, because it's not a special edition without badges.

Although, if you're going for a heritage-inspired special trim, the 50th Anniversary Edition Z (the model began life in 1969 as a 1970 model year) could do worse for inspiration. The anniversary models are more specifically distinguished by a red- or black-painted hood and body stripes. As you may well remember, there's a GT-R 50th anniversary on the way too, so perhaps that'll be a more enticing prospect.

The leather-appointed and suede-covered heated four-way power seats, which feature adjustable lumbar support, have unique stitching, graphics and the 50th Anniversary logo embossed into the backrests.

Rounding out the trio of GT-R debuts is an updated Track Edition model.

As for the GT-R's vaunted 3.8-liter handcrafted V6 engine, at 565 horsepower and 467 pound-feet of torque, new turbochargers improve low rpm response and sharpen response overall, and provide a 5% efficiency boost.
