They wanted that badly’ John Lynch says having the No. 2 pick essentially scuttled a deal for Odell Beckham Jr

In the three weeks since the trade, Beckham hasn't done any formal interviews with the media, but that finally changed on Monday when the Browns held his introductory press conference in Cleveland.

"I feel like we spoke this into existence nearly. and I dreamed this". "They want to win". It happened almost three weeks ago, and the reverberations continue to register around the National Football League and within the teams involved in such a mega-deal.

The New York Giants decision to trade Odell Beckham Jr. to the Cleveland Browns sent shockwaves through the organization and the fan base. There were rumblings the Giants were listening to offers for their superstar receiver, but Beckham clearly did not believe he would be dealt.

Beckham said he was initially shocked by the blockbuster trade - Cleveland sent guard Kevin Zeitler, safety Jabrill Peppers and a first- and third-round pick this year to NY on March 12 for Beckham and edge rusher Olivier Vernon - but he has grown to embrace it over the past few weeks. "You start off in NY in your career and the next thing you know, I'm here (in Cleveland)". That is definitely not the case here, because Beckham said there's nowhere else he'd rather play than next to Landry - the person he credits with making him the person he is today. Kinda the past is in the past. "I think I've come to grips with everything".

His close relationship with Landry has helped Beckham's transition. He heard the news and went quiet at dinner.

"I just started screaming", the Browns quarterback said. "I know where I am in my life". "It was a lot of emotions; a lot of thoughts that run through your mind". Your whole life is changing, it's still the same in theory, but it's changing.

For now, it's all smiles between the former and new teammates, with Beckham saying that the trade might be the greatest thing that's ever happened to him.

Southwest, Delta reporting system-wide computer outages
The FAA is reporting several airlines are experiencing issues with a flight planning weight and balance program called Aerodata. One traveler told KPRC that he was still in the waiting area for a flight he was supposed to board at 5:20 a.m.

Beckham said that after he learned he was headed to Cleveland, he called LeBron James and asked the National Basketball Association superstar about the area. "So we tried to come up with creative different ways to get it done and it didn't work out, so you move on". I don't need to be in NY. He even made a few calls and cried with other people, like new Browns coach Freddie Kitchens and Beckham himself.

Asked if the Browns would have been his first choice as a trade destination, Beckham refused to answer outright.

"This can't be real", Beckham said, a tuft of bleached blond hair poking out from under his orange cap.

"I definitely want to be here and create that bond", he said.

"He gave me a little bit of advice", Beckham said. "Just like a love story".

The good news for everyone in Cleveland is that it sounds like Beckham will occasionally be around for the Browns' offseason workouts this year. He said Beckham has some things to tie up and reiterated that the program is voluntary. "Odell knows what's at stake. He had to go through some hoops to get here".
