White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson hit a prodigious two-run home run off of Royals starter Brad Keller in the fourth inning of Wednesday afternoon's game in Chicago.

Anderson was quickly restrained by Kansas City catcher Martin Maldonado but jawed with Keller on his way to first base.

The Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox had a bit of a scuffle during Wedneday's game because someone had a little too much fun after a home run, which of course is not allowed under baseball's lame and dated unwritten rules.

There were four ejections - Anderson, Keller, Renteria and Sveum.

A number of Royals fans were not happy with Anderson, and at least one major-league player spoke out on Twitter.

Ally McCoist: Rangers are four top players away from matching Celtic
Rangers chairman Dave King says his club is to once again close to being regarded as the "dominant force in Scottish football". The club are now second in the Scottish Premiership, 11 points behind Celtic with five games remaining.

Chicago is expected to counter with 24-year-old right-hander Lucas Giolito, who has had an up-and-down start to the 2019 season.

Giolito made four starts versus the Royals last season, posting a solid 2-0 record and a sparkling 2.88 ERA in those matchups, despite walking 11 batters in 25 innings of work. Keller gave up two runs and four hits.

Royals: Maldonado was in the lineup after being scratched Tuesday because of an illness.

According to Baseball Savant, the current White Sox roster is batting only.211 with a weighted on-base percentage of.253 in 103 plate appearances off of the Royals' righty.

White Sox: Moncada was lifted for precautionary reasons in the seventh. The White Sox have no timetable for OF Jon Jay (strained right hip) going on a rehab assignment. RHP Domingo German (3-0, 1.38) pitches for the Yankees. RHP Tyson Ross (1-2, 3.50) starts for the Tigers.
