She was featured in Saeed Akhtar Mirza's National Award winning film Naseem in which she had shared the screen with Kaifi Azmi, Seema Kelkar and Kay Kay Menon. She has worked with actors like Rani Mukerji, Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Anupam Kher, Shakti Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Chandrachur Singh and Jugal Hansraj with films including Papa Kehte Hain, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, Badal, Betaabi and Papa the Great.

But Kango left it all after getting married to Aditya Dhillon in December 2003, shifting base to the United States. But, in the last two decades, Mayoori Kango has changed lanes and is now Head of Industry-agency partnership at Google.

Kango was previously the Managing Director of Performics, a performance marketing agency. She then moved to the U.S. and completed MBA in marketing and finance from City University of New York-Baruch College - Zicklin School of Business.

Mayoori had been working with a firm named 360 eye, and after the birth of her son, she had settled in Gurgaon. She now shuttles between three cities - Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.

After her boards, Mayoori had cleared her IIT entrance exams, but rejected that for the love of films. Apart from movies, she also acted in a couple of TV serials including "Dollar Bahu" in 2001. 'People should complete their education before they come looking for that big break in Bollywood. Anyway, do you wish to see her back on the celluloid? "Have a backup option", the actress was quoted as saying in a Times of India report. I have to prove myself in every new meeting as people have a notion that actors are not intelligent.

"So, I took up other jobs like writing scripts and making documentaries".
