Man sprayed passengers jumped from grounded plane at Phoenix airport

According to Phoenix police, during the flight a 25-year-old passenger began touching passengers' faces and spraying them with some kind of liquid from a spray bottle.

It was a odd episode on American Airlines flight 1346 Friday as a 25-year-old man touched the faces of other passengers and sprayed them with an unknown substance before jumping off the grounded plane in Phoenix, Arizona, police said in a press release. She said he was swearing and acting aggressively toward other passengers.

The man was brought to the front of the plane to be escorted off after it landed at terminal 4, but he was able to open an emergency exit and jump from the plane.

Police say none of the passengers desired prosecution against the man, but trespassing charges are pending. "He was transported to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries", the police department's statement said.

Fans welcomed the re-appearance of Lando Calrissian, played by Billy Dee Williams , who is seen piloting the Millennium Falcon. When asked what it was like playing the character again after so much time had passed, Williams remarked that it was easy.

"Once the flight arrived at the gate, the passenger opened one of the doors and jumped off the aircraft", according to American Airlines. He was stopped by airport employees and was taken into custody without incident. None of the passengers on board wished to press charges, they added.

Just over 100 passengers and eight crew members were on Flight 300 out of John F. Kennedy Airport.

Scott Laser, a passenger, told ABC, "The plane veered left when it hit something and then it took a sharp right turn at takeoff where I was on the right side of the plane and I was looking straight down at the ground".

"American had requested law enforcement meet flight 1346 upon arrival in Phoenix due to a disruptive passenger. Law enforcement and paramedics responded", the airline said in a statement.
