Ms Walker stayed with the distraught mother and her children.

Roscoe Holyoake, 34, has been identified by the SFPD as the suspect in the attempted toddler kidnapping, and as Scenestr reports, Holyoake is a well known Perth-based DJ who most recently closed out Sydney Mardi Gras with a set and DJ'd at a festival called Joondalup just a week ago.

A "tug-of-war over the child" allegedly then began between Holyoake and the mother who yelled: 'What are you doing?'

Officer Adam Lobsinger said that on Friday, a mother reported that a stranger tried to grab her son from the corner of Market and Noe streets about 12:25 p.m.

Walker, a dentist, said he and other bystanders chased after Holyoake on foot.

Holyoake gave up after a short chase, Walker said.

Blue Jackets make history in sweep of top-seeded Lightning
The game was scoreless through the opening 20 minutes before Matt Duchene gave the Blue Jackets the lead 1:44 into the 2nd period. Somehow making it even worse for the Lightning , this was the first playoff series win for the Blue Jackets in franchise history.

Holyoake appeared briefly in court Tuesday and was ordered to return Thursday to enter a plea.

His lawyer Steve Olmo told media outside court that Holyoake doesn't have a criminal record and was in San Francisco on business.

He has been a volunteer presenter at Perth community radio station RTRFM on and off over the past five years.

He was also a board member of Pride WA for two years before standing down in February.

If found guilty of the charges Holyoake could face at least ten years jail, a sentence which could be increased if the age of the alleged victim is taken into account.

In December, he performed at the wrap party for entertainer Tim Minchin's new mini-series Upright, describing it on his website as an "absolute pleasure".
