Nipsey Hussle Memorial Results In Injuries As Mourners Start A Stampede

Police Chief Michel Moore said that Holder had known Hussle and that an issue had emerged between the pair on the day of the shooting, in which two other men were shot and expected to survive.

Holder was reportedly an acquaintance of Hussle, with whom he'd allegedly gotten into a disagreement before the shooting.

Hussle, real name Ermias Davidson Asghedom, grew up in south Los Angeles and was a member of the Rollin' 60s street gang as a teenager.

Police have arrested a man in connection with Nipsey's murder.

Both men have ties to gangs, but their dispute was personal and didn't involve gang activity, police said.

The suspect then "came back armed with a handgun" and fired several times at close range, hitting Hussle in the head and body.

Lauren London is opening up for the first time since the sudden death of her longtime partner and L.A. rap legend, Nipsey Hussle. Holder also injured two other individuals with gunshots.

Moore credited "community engagement", video, tips and witness statements for leading police to identify Holder was the shooter.

"This has been a tough few days for Los Angeles", Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said, speaking of Hussle's advocacy for the community.

We continue to send our thoughts and condolences to Lauren and all of Nipsey's loved ones during this hard time.

"This is about young people of colour being able to have opportunity in their lives", he said.

A disturbance at a memorial for Hussle Monday night left at least 19 people injured, including two people who were taken to local hospitals in critical condition. Moore said the stampede began when one person displayed a gun, and a second person struggled to disarm the person.
