While nothing is official yet, Xiaomi may look to extend new dot notch design and edge-to-edge display panels to its popular Redmi Y series. The company has tweeted a teaser confirming the launch of the new budget phone in the country.

The tweet includes a video showing Manu Jain's 32 selfies with 32 Xiaomi Employees. "Manu uploaded the video with a caption, "'Y" am I taking so many selfies? BTW I clicked "32' selfies with 32 @XiaomiIndia colleagues!"

The device's display camera hole is placed at the top of the display, and it is centered, unlike on the Galaxy S10 series of smartphones and the HONOR View20.

Going by the previous release pattern, it is likely to be released later this month and probably cost anywhere between Rs 9,000 and Rs 11,000 if not less depending on RAM + Storage configuration. An LED flash is also included on this phone, and it is placed right below the triple camera setup on the back. The smartphone has a battery capacity of 3080 mAh with 10W charging.
