The Fast and Furious franchise is here with a spin-off called Hobbs and Shaw and in the same, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham are reprising their respective roles.

A new "Hobbs & Shaw" trailer packs in the worldwide action with fast cars and high-intensity fight scenes.

There's a moment in 'Hobbs & Shaw' where Jason Statham repeatedly smushes a man's face into a keypad for comedic effect. The duo takes out each crew member easily - so much ease that Hobbs yawns in the middle of fighting.

There's a lab infiltration, a bare-knuckle fight on a tropical island, a chase sequence in which the Rock pulls a helicopter with his bare arms, and what seems to be a final showdown at a nuclear power plant.

Universal has dropped what has got to be the craziest trailer yet for its highly anticipated summer blockbuster Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw and, by all accounts, the frenemies are going to have their work cut out for them as they go up against Idris Elba's genetically enhanced supersoldier.

Brixton adds that Shaw's sister (Hattie) - played by Vanessa Kirby ("The Crown") - took a deadly virus from him and that it has the potential to "wipe out half the population, and [he] wants it back".

Them the action heads to the Pacific island home of Hobbs, where we meet his family. But since the future of the world is at stake, Dwayne Johnson's Luke Hobbs insists on tagging along. Directed by action visionary David Leitch. The movie is produced by Morgan, Johnson, Statham and Hiram Garcia, and executive produced by Dany Garcia, Kelly McCormick, Steven Chasman, Ethan Smith and Ainsley Davies.

The David Leitch-directed Hobbs & Shaw bulldozes its way into theaters on August 2.
