The midfielder has made 42 appearances across all competitions including 28 in the Premier League, 19 of which have been starts.

The London club will have their appeal against a two-window transfer ban heard on April 11, and if the ban is lifted, Sarri is keen to pursue a permanent deal for the Croat, who is on a one-year loan deal at Stamford Bridge.

"You know very well that, in that position, we have some problems because we have only Jorginho", Sarri, whose side face West Ham at home on Monday, told a news conference.

"He has improved during the season because I saw their last matches and I saw a very good midfielder".

"I am not able to understand the decision of the Premier League because we have to go to Prague as an English team", he said.

The Italian explained: "No, I want to try with Kovacic". Of course, he is not a defensive midfielder (at the moment) but, as you know, in that position I prefer a very technical player. "We played 51 matches and in the last part of the season, I want 20 players completely involved in our targets".

When Harington pointed out that she already knows because she is in the show, she replied: "Well yeah but I forgot". When Harington said he was busy during that time, Bradley retorted, "Wow, they were right".

"So we need to have very strong players".

Any deal would depend upon Chelsea successfully appealing against a transfer ban imposed by Federation Internationale de Football Association or at least having it suspended.
