A possible minigun specialist class in The Division 2

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is described as the next evolution in the open-world online shooter RPG genre that the first game helped establish.

Battle for D.C. forms part of The Division 2's endgame, with new challenges and content.

UPDATE: The Division 2 developer Ubisoft has released the full set of patch notes for Tidal Basin update 1.05.

The Division 2 is available now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Crit Damage and Headshot Damage will be lowered across all existing gear, so if you have equipment with these stats on it, they will be different when you log in.

As with any server outage, it's worth noting that the server maintenance times are not always correct.

The Division 2 downtime started at 8.30am and runs until approximately 11.30am United Kingdom time.

Or, night. The Division 2 has a day/night cycle after all. Now the gear score cap has been raised, I can feel the game trying to monopolise my spare time again, after I treated myself to a brief period of respite following a 45+ hour spell for my review. Finally, you'll be able to get them as rewards for completing special projects.

Arsenal boss Emery delighted with progress these 2 young players
In the past the club have done great work in watching players, finding and signing young players and developing our players in the academy.

The part that's really made me go "ooh!' in this update so far, though, is a new icon that pops up at the White House: a yellow helicopter symbol marked with 'Offsite Activities".

The update introduces the Tidal Basin content, which is the first stage in the Battle for D.C. "Tidal Basin is now home to some of the most powerful enemies in the game, and they're not going down easy", Ubisoft teased of the new stronghold, which unlocks World Tier 5 upon completion.

That's on top of Weekly Invaded Missions and perhaps most exciting of all, the Tidal Basin faction stronghold.

If you want some extra challenge, a new difficulty has been added to the game which will make it extra challenging to complete some of the missions. The keenest players have already hit World Tier 4 and achieved at least 425 gear score, and today's Tidal Basin update is aimed at those players.

The intel received from Manny Ortega unlocks the new Weekly Invaded Missions at any difficulty setting.

Heroic difficulty for Main Missions and Strongholds. These missions will be reset each week and will apply to past story missions too. In World Tier 5, Black Tusk enemies also have the potential to drop pieces of three new gear sets - Ongoing Directive, True Patriot, and Hard Wired - with specific bonuses for new playstyles.

On April 25, Operation Dark Hours will join the game as the first 8-player raid mode in the entire The Division history and a later update will give players the opportunity to unlock a new Specialization.
