Neil Warnock expressed frustration after Cardiff City's Premier League survival hopes were dealt a potentially fatal blow by losing 2-0 at Burnley in a game that saw a penalty decision overturned by Mike Dean.

Following Saturday's 2-0 defeat by fellow strugglers Burnley, the Bluebirds occupy the final relegation spot and are five points adrift of nearest club Brighton, who have a game in hand.

"There were two handballs really, you only have to look at the player's reaction", Warnock said to BBC Sport.

I'm looking forward to hearing what they [referee and assistants] say.

But Cardiff would cut the gap to two points by winning at Brighton on Tuesday night, although Chris Hughton's Seagulls do have a game in hand.

"It's just an incredible story really, he has been written off that many times - and we have", Warnock told a news conference on Monday.

"And obviously over the last few weeks we have felt sorry for ourselves a few times and we haven't got time to do that now".

"They played better than us, it is fair to say, I don't think anyone will disagree", United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said after his side secured only a second win in their last six matches in all competitions.

"We haven't got time to do that (at Brighton) and if it's not good enough then we accept it. We have to grab that".

Oil rig workers rescue dog 137 miles off coast of Thailand
A dog that was castaway in the ocean has been brought to safety after a miraculous rescue by Thai oil workers. Payalaw said that he plans to adopt Boonrod if no one claims ownership of her, the Bangkok Post reported .

"But you have to be optimistic".

Cardiff were infuriated by decisions against them in a recent Premier League loss at home to Chelsea, with Warnock charged by the Football Association (FA) for his post-match comments.

"We've had that many kicks in the teeth in the last four months (and) we keep bouncing back really", Warnock added. I think these things do happen.

Five points from safety, Cardiff travelled to fellow relegation candidates Burnley knowing they need to start picking up points with time running out this season, but they found themselves behind just after the half-hour mark.

Cardiff City has to take all three points at the Amex Stadium come Tuesday, with its remaining fixtures home to Liverpool, away to Fulham, home to Crystal Palace, and away to Manchester United. "We are going to have to carry on of course, but the history of the Premier League suggests we are in a very strong position, but we have to make sure factually".

Moura made sure Tottenham didn't miss injured striker Harry Kane as the Brazilian winger became the first player to score a hat trick in the club's new stadium after Victor Wanyama opened the scoring in the 24th minute.

Asked whether he had spoken to Warnock, Dyche admitted: "No I haven't yet, but I've got a lot of respect for him and what he's done in the game".

Paul Pogba's calm nerves and David De Gea's quick reflexes kept Manchester United in the hunt for a top-four finish. We're still alive. I can't fault the lads.
