Veronica Mars Revival coming to Hulu, teaser trailer drops

Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas referred to this new season as "hardcore So-Cal noir", so we're definitely in for something dark and mysterious.

Hulu has a slate of original content that's continuing to grow, a slate that keeps getting beefed up thanks to series like the eight-episode Veronica Mars revival that we just learned is coming on July 26. The teaser also shows Veronica steeling herself to deal with a rowdy crowd of spring breakers - but she's got the tools to handle them. Erwich told reporters at the Television Critics Association winter press tour that the story "is very true to the character". She is not a little girl anymore. "You'll see her deal with contemporary issues in a contemporary world".

The 8-episode mini-series is set to premiere on Hulu next year, with a number of cast members - including Jason Dohring (Logan), Francis Capra (Eli) and Percy Daggs III (Wallace) - all set to return.

There will also be some new faces in the cast, including Oscar victor J.K. Simmons, who play an ex-con working for Big Dick Casablanca, and Patton Oswalt as a pizza delivery man who is also a true crime fanatic.
