WhatsApp beta version 2.19.101 introduces a new 'Ignore archived chats' feature

The Facebook-owned messaging app is testing a new setting called "Ignore archived chats" in the latest build, which allows users to ignore archived chats.

WhatsApp was spotted testing a new feature called "Vacation Mode" back in October a year ago that would provide users with more control over archiving a conversation. This is essentially a relabelling of an old feature remembered as "Vacation mode".

This feature was originally rolled out back in October 2018 and WhatsApp has finally chose to add this feature with this update.

Currently, chats which have been archived are hidden in the application until a new message arrives from that chat - at which point it is automatically unarchived by WhatsApp.

A new WhatsApp Beta version 2.19.101 has been spotted in testing, revealing new features that make users' worthwhile.

This feature is not now available, but it is expected to launch soon for the beta version of the application.
