Amy Schumer gets ‘mom-shamed’ for going back to work

Nevertheless, she persisted! Schumer got through her tough pregnancy, did all of the shows she could, released an hour long comedy special, and gave birth to a attractive baby boy (named Gene!).

"I'm back!" she captioned the post, in part. Amy is just one of the many superwomen inhabiting this planet. "Contract or not you need to be allowed at least 6 weeks for maternity", one comment read, while another fan posted a shocked-face emoji alongside the message, "Take some time". People in the comments section were poppin' off, claiming Schumer was back at work too soon after giving birth.

Another user told the comedian she should be lying on her couch wearing a loose dress instead of working. "You're supposed to be wearing a mumu and laying on he freakin" sofa!'

"I'm sorry. What?! Didn't you birth a human like 5 minutes ago?" one person commented. "And Texas I am really really sorry and I'll be out there as soon as I'm better". "Take a d**n break FFS".

But others weren't so pleased with Schumer, slamming her for leaving her son to go back to work. But we see a comedian who has a wonderful time making people laugh. Get it girl!' Another added: 'That's incredible.

And despite the controversy over the image, Amy responded to the critics with humor.

But she was not about to let the trolls get to her, and she clapped back in the most Amy Schumer-way possible: by posting a hilarious picture of herself.

The facility was used as a Central Intelligence Agency interrogation centre after the September 11, 2001 attacks. The US, Hungary, Israel, Australia and the Maldives all voted with the United Kingdom against the resolution.

Similarly, she responded to journalist Jessica Yellin who said 'I can only imagine what a pump room looks like at a comedy club. That's life. You just put on your cape and do what you have to do.

Another follower enthused, "You can't keep a good woman down!"

She later revealed the name of their son as Gene Attell Fischer.

The comedian suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, which caused her to have non-stop nausea and vomiting, and landed her in the hospital a number of times during her pregnancy.

It's clear that Schumer's post-pregnancy posts are going to be real, and we should be thankful that she's showing us the unfiltered truths of having a newborn baby.

She shared a photo to Instagram on Friday, May 17 that showed her posing makeup free and wearing two breast pumps.
