Ellen De Generes Signs on To Do Talk Show for 3 More Years 'This Show Has Been the Ride of My Life&apos

She tweeted a video announcing that the show had been renewed for three more years, according to CNN.

It all comes following numerous reports that the comedian/talk show host had reportedly been weighing the decision about when it would be time to walk away from her show. We have been through the good, the bad, the Fifty Shades of Grey phase, and it's been a lot of fun, and 16 years is a pretty good run.

"When we started, that was before Instagram, before YouTube, we were young, we were bored out of our minds, and from the beginning I said this show was going to be like a relationship". She said she had feelings of being "torn" and joked "I don't know what I'm doing".

"That's why I'm going to keep doing this show, for people like you", DeGeneres said. "That's why I'm going to keep doing this show".

The American Idol alum is gearing up for the September launch of her own new daytime talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, though it was rumored that she could be taking over the comedienne's time slot if Ellen were to end her reign. This show was my second chance, and it turns out it also helped other people go through a tough time.

Of course, Betts' home run would not stand up, with Rowdy Tellez tying things back up in the bottom of the 12th with a solo shot. The Red Sox will fly to Houston on Thursday night and face the Astros in a three-game series for the second consecutive weekend.

A source close to production tells ET that "Ellen thought about her decision to sign on for more years with her show, and ultimately decided extending was the right decision". The fans helped her realize the value of her show.

While speaking with ET earlier this month, the 61-year-old comedian opened up about her future retirement, revealing that she hopes she'll know when it's time.

"And Lamborghinis are expensive", she added with a laugh.

"He just feels like this is a really important time to be on television too, to put out kindness and a voice that you don't get to hear and see a lot", she told Deadline. "[Maybe] when people kind of are exhausted of me, and I think I'll sense that", DeGeneres shared. But I don't. You're stuck with me. "I actually don't care about the rest of the people", she added. "Whether it's her instant connection to her guests on her flagship talk show, her warm and amusing hosting on Game of Games or the infectious enthusiasm she shares in producing everything from Little Big Shots to the animated antics of Green Eggs and Ham, it's an honor to work alongside her". "If I'm having fun and no one's watching, I don't care".
