Meanwhile, Deadline reports Mitchell was sacked from the upcoming Netflix comedy Desperados and replaced by New Girl's Lamorne Morris after an investigation sparked by the off-set incident. The actor was previously accused of assaulting a woman named Emily Marquez at a Boston hotel in 2016.

After a breakout role as NWA rapper Eazy-E in the 2015 box-office hit Straight Outta Compton, Mitchell joined the cast of The Chi ahead of its January 2018 debut.

Mitchell has also been dropped by his agent and an upcoming lead role in Netflix's western flick, Desperado. Showtime, Netflix and Fox 21 have declined to comment.
