An FA statement said: "It is alleged the Leeds United player's behaviour in the 72nd minute of the fixture, which involved committing a clear act of simulation that led to Anwar El Ghazi being dismissed, amounts to improper conduct".

Leeds would have mathematically had a chance of pipping Chris Wilder's side to second place in the table with a win, and it looked as though three points were on the cards when Mateusz Klich broke the deadlock 72 minutes in after the hosts refused to put the ball out of play and allow Jonathan Kodjia treatment.

Villa are nearly assured of fifth place, sitting four points behind Midland rivals West Brom and seven back to Leeds, with only Derby able to catch them still subject to overturning a big goal difference deficit.

The referee had not stopped play, but Villa players halted their game, which Klich and his teammates used to their advantage and scored.

Bamford fell theatrically after a confrontation with Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi, with television replays showing there was no contact during the 1-1 draw at Elland Road.

Social media users were outraged as screenshots of the racist job post made the rounds. The company's statement does not say how long the ad was live.

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger also commended Bielsa for his "remarkable gesture".

Bielsa spoke about the incident and why he made the decision he did in letting Villa equalise.

"I thought it was the right thing to do, completely right", said Lampard. "The whole world has to watch that". Only the referee can stop the game.

The weird scenes followed a passage of play which led the Argentine to believe his side had taken the lead unfairly during the Championship match. The forward was sent off for violent conduct during the EFL Championship fixture against Leeds United on Sunday [28/04/2019].

The fourth and final spot is yet to be decided with Derby County, Middlesbrough and Bristol City all in contention.
