The takeaway by many was that the palace had reserved pages, which were not yet live, under certain names for Harry and Meghan's child.

If the couple have a little girl, the names Grace, Diana and Elizabeth are favourites.

While the change in tradition is surely to ensure more privacy and less pressure, The Sun's former royal editor, Duncan Larcombe, told Page Six that he thinks the move is "foolish".

For a boy, the names Arthur and Philip are popular choices.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told the Express: "It's probably the most freakish eleventh hour move we could've seen, but the money is coming in thick and fast for Allegra".

On Friday (April 26), supporters were convinced the tot was on the way after an ambulance was spotted waiting just near the couple's Windsor home.

There has also been speculation the former Suits actress could have a home birth, but the palace insider said there is "no chance" the family will allow her to, as the "safety of the royal baby is paramount".
