How Dodgers slugger Cody Bellinger put together an epic April

Pollock has indeed gone on the IL. He is hitless in his last eight at-bats and did not play in Los Angeles' first game in San Francisco on Monday night. Depending upon what was found, further work was considered a possibility; the outcome is not yet known as of this morning.

As expected, today the Dodgers announced that outfielder A.J. Pollock will be placed on the 10-day IL with what was listed as right elbow inflammation.

The condition emerged only in recent days, manager Dave Roberts said, though the manager was uncertain on which day. Roberts had no timeline on how long Pollock will be sidelined but said "it's going to be a little bit". He broke the joint again in 2016 and was limited to just 12 games that season. He landed with the Dodgers this past winter on a four-year pact that guarantees him at least $60MM (if he triggers a fifth-year player option).

As a response, Pompeo said that he has no plans to leave his post. Choe said negotiations are being made hard by the United States.

Despite a checkered past with respect to injuries, A.J. Pollock secured a four-year, $55 million contract from the Los Angeles Dodgers during what was largely another Major League Baseball free agency freeze for players. But he has been healthy and has likely been unfortunate in the batted-ball arena.
