Steven Waugh Warns Other Teams to be Wary of Australia

Australia had been in poor form since the ICC World Cup 2015 where they won the tournament. "They're obviously the red-hot favourites for the tournament, they're playing here in their home country, they're playing brilliantly, they deserve to be the number one team in the world", quoted Langer as saying.

Meanwhile, Australia had a dismal time previous year, having lost most of the games after the suspension of Steven Smith and David Warner.

"I watched Steve Smith batting against new Zealand in those three practice games, he's literally a master of the game", Langer said.

"Well we can't control the crowd", Langer said.

Smith, who made his comeback with the IPL after serving out a one-year ban for ball tampering alongside opener David Warner, was in no mood to spare the bowlers in the team's first training session following its arrival in England.

Aside from the expected questions from the media there was little evidence of any lasting effects of a turbulent 12-month period, punctuated by severe recriminations and introspection throughout Australian professional cricket.

Both played key roles in the 2015 tournament and have made plenty of runs in the leadup to England, with Warner top scoring in the Indian Premier League and Smith smashing two half-centuries off an understrength New Zealand in an unofficial warmup series in Brisbane.

"You're going to have a pretty thick skin to do well in worldwide cricket, particularly on the flatter wickets and the fast outfields and the big squares we play on in England".

Whitney Houston sings again on hologram tour
Primary Waves will acquire a 50 percent stake of Houston's estate, valued at $14 million. Pat added: "The hologram has taken precedence over everything".

'He loves batting. He's shadow batting on the sand, he's shadow batting in the shower - I'm not joking'.

But, Langer said Australia should stick to their formula to achieve success in the ODI format. And that is ominous for other sides, they know how good these sides are.

The Barmy Army provided an early indication of how hard they were planning on going on the pair sharing a photoshopped image of Warner in his Australian gear with the world "cheat" added to the front.

"Each side will be careful about Australia", Waugh told the ICC.

"We've got three practice games in the next 12 days I think, every chance we get to get on a centre wicket is very important for us". They know the potential of the Australian side. So we're looking forward to playing them.

But having witnessed the angry reaction in Australia to Smith and Warner's conduct, Langer said it would be hard to imagine any English taunts could be worse.

"In terms of scores, a lot will have to do with the grounds we play on, the conditions, whether we're chasing or setting, all those sorts of things". Langer believes that Australia need to back their strategy and give their best while competing against teams like England and India. We showed in India and Dubai that, if we stick to it, we'll score big enough scores to win games of cricket.
