The Handmaid's Tale Season 3

The Handmaid's Tale is coming back to Hulu: The streaming service teased a new Season 3 trailer for the dystopian-themed series and it shows June, the main female lead, navigating new territory as her formal theocratic world undergoes intense change, leaving her to form new alliances and fight back.

Last summer, season two ended with a literal bombshell of an explosion in Gilead, - the show's fictional totalitarian city - which set the stage for where things pick up in season three.

The first full trailer for the third season of The Handmaid's Tale is finally here - and so is the revolution. It was a frustrating development, as the first half of the season saw June fighting tooth and nail to cross the border. We also catch glimpses of Bradley Whitford's character, who made a small but important cameo in the end of Season 2, as well as the return of Ann Dowd's Aunt Lydia and Samira Wiley and O-T Fagbenle living life up in Canada.

The news comes after the cover for the sequel to The Handmaid's Tale was revealed.

"Heresy - that's what you get punished for", June says in a voiceover, as fans see Emily running to escape with baby Holly in tow.

"Up to a point", Serena clarifies, but June's not having it.

What she really means is: "Fuck this shit". Lawrence tells June, "you seem like you would be good at influencing people", which makes for a promising team-up. The pair are also inexplicably seen smoking cigarettes while lounging by a pool.
