Hawks forward Vince Carter announced that he plans to return for an National Basketball Association record-setting 22nd season on Tuesday during an appearance on the "Wingin It" podcast with teammate Kent Bazemore.

"I would like to", Carter added. "We'll see what happens".

Shoaib Malik flies back home from England tour citing personal reasons
As the 15-man preliminary World Cup squad for Pakistan was announced earlier this month, the 20-year-old Shadab was also included. Malik's selection for the World Cup raised eyebrows, given that he averages 13.6 with the bat from 23 innings in England .

Carter, 42, is expected to become a free agent July 1 when his contract expires.

Fans have been wondering for a while now when exactly Carter would retire and many thought that this would be his last season. If Carter comes back, he will set the record for most seasons played, beating out Kevin Garnett, Dirk Nowitzki, Robert Parish, and Kevin Willis. 21-plus years later, Carter has the chance to break new grounds in terms of National Basketball Association longevity.

Carter has played for eight different teams throughout his career with averages of 17.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. Who is rooting against him at this point?
