SPEAKING OUT Malin fears Love Island could be detrimental to viewers mental health

ITV CEO Carolyn McCall issues a statement reading: "Given the gravity of recent events we have chose to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show".

Ofcom said the show had failed to prevent the distress and humiliation of a 17-year-old participant in 2014, while in 2007 a judge branded it a "human form of bear baiting" after a man was convicted of assaulting another person on stage.

THE Jeremy Kyle guest who died after appearing on the show had previously called ITV 300 times begging for a chance to get on the controversial programme, it has been claimed.

A petition to put The Jeremy Kyle Show back on air following its axe has reached 15,000 signatures after a superfan claimed the show "motivated her to be a better person".

She added: "The show brought me depression, anxiety and the worst parts of my life, which includes trolls on a daily bases".

Despite ongoing debates, Love Island is still set to hit our screens this summer, with voice-over legend Iain Stirling AND Caroline Flack both teasing the new series.

One ITV source told The Sun: 'Carolyn and some of the other senior executives always thought the Kyle show was a thorn in the side of daytime - the format was very negative and in this day and age had become a bit toxic.

"There was no after-care or counselling from the show".

Gudenus has quit his job as leader of the party's parliamentary group and is leaving the party. The makeup of any caretaker government until the snap election was also up for discussion.

Woolley spoke to his father for the first time in seven years following the appearance on the show after a relative contacted him, concerned over his father's emotional state.

"I'm really glad I went on the show because I managed to get my teeth sorted".

ITV has faced scrutiny recently over its support for reality show talent following the deaths of two former Love Island contestants, Sophie Gradon and Mike Thalassitis.

But she claimed that the team tried to stroke tensions, explaining: "The show called me and told me all this stuff she was saying about me - awful stuff like she was going to knock my teeth down my throat and that I should brush them".

"Our thoughts and sympathies are with Steve's family and friends at this incredibly sad time".

"They asked me to come on with Melissa and we did, but they turned it on me and made me look like a right c**t".

"Given the gravity of recent events we have made a decision to end production of The Jeremy Kyle Show, Now is the right time for the show to end".

Maybe because the Jeremy Kyle show is fundamentally flawed because its entire premise is to laugh at vulnerable and unfortunate people as if their lives are freak shows?
