Seven people were killed in a crash between a pick-up truck and a group of motorcycles on Route 2 in Randolph, New Hampshire, Friday night.

Police only would that a 2016 Dodge 2500 collide with the riders.

Motorcyclists with a club comprised of ex-United States Marines collided with a pickup truck on a rural highway Friday, killing seven and leaving the biker community reeling.

"It's tragic. It's tragic for those involved, tragic for the families, so we're doing our job, we're doing our work and our thoughts are with the people who were adversely affected by this", New Hampshire State Police Captain Chris Vetter said according to ABC News.

Zhukovskyy survived the accident and has not been charged, authorities said, but they didn't release details on his condition or his whereabouts.

New Hampshire State Police and Coos County attorney were on the scene Friday night.

The investigation is ongoing.

Rich Wallingford, who co-owns the inn with Hamanne, said he saw several bodies covered with blankets, motorcycles scattered on the pavement, and a damaged pickup and trailer.

St. Clair said the section of USA 2 where the collision occurred does not have rumble strips, which warn drivers that they are veering onto the highway's shoulder.

"You could see motorcycles dumped all over the road, and you could see people on the phone frantically calling, people pacing back and forth, and just, they were lost", Miranda Thompson told local news affiliate, WMUR.

Motorists stopped and tended to the wounded, he said.

Another witness, Travis Hood, told news reporters that he was one of the people who tried to assist.

Route 2 is closed to all traffic just east of Valley Road and is expected to be closed for several more hours while the Collision, Analysis and Reconstruction Unit documents the scene. As of 10:30 p.m., Hamanne said the road was still closed. The crash occurred about 500 feet from the establishment. The National Transportation Safety Board said they are sending a team to the site to investigate the crash. The brothers Steinmann said that the group consisted of Marine veterans.
