This week the folks at the Eurasian Economic Commission database posted several new Mac models previously undisclosed to the public. The devices are designated as "portable computers" and have the following model numbers: A2141, A2147, A2158, A2159, A2179, A2182, and A2251.

Apple just recently released a refreshed Mac Pro and an 8-core MacBook Pro (2019), beefing up its lineup of computers, but this report suggests even more new models are in the works.

It's not clear if these model numbers hint at a new MacBook or just updates to 12-inch MacBook.

The publication writes that each firm will invest around $10 million into a consortium that will govern the effort. Libra seems to be the latest addition to the list.

There's still a lot of MacBooks in Apple's line up that are in need of a refresh, from the 12-inch MacBook (which is pretty long in the tooth), and the 12-inch MacBook Air (which is not that old), along with the 13-inch MacBook Pro. The model hasn't been updated since 2017, and it's showing the age. But it seems Apple could be planning on rolling out more new MacBooks later this year.

This would undoubtedly be great news for those who like larger notebooks, as the 16-inch MacBook Pro could provide the same size (or larger) screen in a notebook with a much smaller footprint thanks to the shrinking bezels and thinner stylings of current Apple laptops.

Holding out for a new MacBook?
