Beyonce sings in new Lion King clip and we're crying

It's only fleeting, but if the new teaser ad for Disney's "The Lion King" remake is anything to go by, the soundtrack featuring Beyoncé and Donald Glover is going to be stunning.

Glover and Beyoncé's singing is also interspersed with a monologue from Mufasa, Simba's father.

Here's hoping The Lion King turns out better than Knowles' last acting role voicing a Mother Nature-style Queen Tara in Chris Wedge's forgettable CG-animated flick Epic in 2013. By pressing play above you can hear the two unleash their rendition of Elton John's captivating song from the original 1994 film.

During the gala, Winters - who took over the lioness role in January - performed the song Shadowland from the Tony-winning musical, which is now running at Manhattan's Minskoff Theatre.

Speaking to Comicbook.com recently while on the set of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Favreau laid it all out, as far as The Lion King's realism is concerned.

In addition to giving fans a taste of Glover and Beyonce singing the iconic song, the new TV spot features some unseen footage.

JD McCrary (Tyler Perry's The Paynes, Vital Signs) fills the shoes of Young Simba, a confident cub who can't wait to be king, and Shahadi Wright Joseph (Hairspray Live, Broadway's "The Lion King") brings tough cub Young Nala to life.
