Visionary American auto designer Shelby and the fearless British driver Miles together battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race vehicle for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari in 1966.

After spending much of the past decade enmeshed in the world of superheroes, director James Mangold's next film finds him going back half-a-century to capture a key moment in automotive history. The film, which stars Matt Damon as a young Shelby and Christian Bale as British driver Ken Miles, chronicles the events leading up to Ford's historic 1-2-3 win at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The two-and-a-half minute trailer pits the American auto manufacturer against the legendary Italian outfit.

Serena Williams loss doesn't mean my next round is easier, says Barty
It was only the third tour-level loss by Williams to an American player younger than her in 42 career matches at any tournament. One of the most aggressive players in the women's game, Osaka squandered all seven break points she created in the first set.

Damon plays Carroll Shelby, who is hired by Ford to create a worthy challenger to take down Ferrari's crown as the best racing auto manufacturer in the world. He has 90 days to design a auto and find a driver who has the stamina and skill to take part in Le Mans.

Along with Bale and Damon, the "Ford v Ferrari" cast features Caitriona Balfe ("Outlander"), Jon Bernthal ("Baby Driver"), Noah Jupe ("A Quiet Place"), Tracy Letts ("Lady Bird"), Josh Lucas ("Sweet Home Alabama"), and Ray McKinnon ("Deadwood"). In the States, the movie is known as Ford V Ferrari and arrives on 15 November.
