What is an "Upside Down Whopper" you may ask.

What distinguishes the new sandwich from a normal Whopper is mainly the fact that Burger King will...serve it upside-down. Next, they're partnering with Burger King for an "Upside Down" Whopper.

It's like a regular Whopper but with the bottom bun on the top and the top bun on the bottom.

The fast-food chain says customers will also be able to purchase Stranger Things merchandise at participating locations.

The third season of American fiction web horror series being titled Stranger Things 3 has already been streaming on Netflix since 4th July 2019.

If the upside-down part of the promotion isn't grabbing people, the nostalgia factor might: The upside-down Whoppers will be served with Burger King's classic packaging from the mid-1980s.

While the flipped burger might not offer enough incentive to get excited for the promotion, the packaging might.

The restaurants will also offer limited-edition T-shirts, crowns, ketchup packets and pins inspired by "Stranger Things". So far fans have been given a Nike collection based on the show, an official soundtrack and even some words from one of the lead actors David Harbour who calls the new season the "most moving". The beverage company rebooted New Coke because the new season takes place during the summer of 1985 - when Coca-Cola debuted the new recipe that flopped.

This is the second big Stranger Things marketing tie-in Coke's got its hands in, adding to its big New Coke comeback.

Customers can find the Stranger Things-inspired burger on Miami, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Philly, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, L.A., and NY menus beginning June 21.
