Celtics emerge as Walker suitor

No matter what, free agency is about to be wild.

While much of the talk coming out of Boston is in regards to who's leaving, the New York Times' Marc Stein says the Celtics have emerged as a "stealth suitor" for free agent point guard Kemba Walker.

As for Rozier, he has said it is unlikely he comes back to Boston if there are not changes to the team's roster, but he also said if Kyrie Irving leaves he would be open to returning.

The Hornets can offer Walker the most money since he's eligible for the Supermax extension, but if Walker is focused on winning, there are other National Basketball Association teams that make more sense.

Swapping out Kyrie Irving for Walker would certainly be one way to stay competitive in the Eastern Conference. Irving is a top player in this league and a future Hall of Famer, but many around the league took not of his lack of professionalism this past season in Boston. Kemba Walker and the Charlotte Hornets will be one of the bigger storylines during the Free Agency period.

The Hornets can offer Walker the most money, but is that in their best interest as a franchise?
