Dallas Wings re-sign Megan Gustafson

Former Hawkeye star Megan Gustafson will get a second chance with the Dallas Wings.

In fact, Gustafson's portfolio is so stacked that her release from the Wings the first time around triggered a conversation about how hard it is to make the WNBA.

The Wings announced on June 13 they had re-signed Gustafson after a slew of losses ravaged the roster.

She was cut just before the start of the regular season when teams had to trim their roster size down to 12 players.

Warner hits century as Australia beat Pakistan
With six overs and three wickets in hand, Riaz had scored 45 in 39 balls with Sarfaraz well set as Pakistan reached 264-7. Pakistan's run chase didn't get off to a good start as it lost its first wicket in the third over to Pat Cummins .

After the Wings' game on June 8, Glory Johnson is headed to Eurobasket to compete for Montenegro.

Since releasing Gustafson, the Wings haven't exactly lit the world on fire.

"I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to further pursue my dream of playing in the WNBA", Gustafson said in the team release. She then played in three preseason games with the team, scoring eight points in 33 minutes played. Hopefully this time the Wings will realize what kind of incredibly talented player they have in arguably the greatest Iowa basketball player to ever play. The Wings have already been without guards Skylar Diggins-Smith and Moriah Jefferson since the beginning of the season and rookie guard Arike Ogunbowale is doubtful for Thursday's game against the Indiana Fever.

"There was a possibility if we didn't sign someone we could be down to seven players after Saturday", Bibb said. As players come back we'll have decisions to make.
