Ortiz moved out of ICU as recovery continues

"David was moved out of the intensive care unit at Massachusetts General Hospital", Tiffany Ortiz said.

While Ortiz isn't close to making a full recovery yet, his wife Tiffany had an encouraging update on his health. "David King and Larry Ronan", the statement read, in part.

Attorney General Jean Alain Rodriguez told reporters the actual target was a man sitting with and dressed similarly to Ortiz. The bullet entered his back and exited through his abdomen.

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks showed up to assist and tranquillize the bear so he could be relocated. Once trapped inside, the bear reportedly damaged the mudroom before "he decided he was exhausted ".

Ortiz, 43, is widely revered in Boston for helping the Red Sox win three World Series championships, including the memorable 2004 title that broke an 86-year drought for the club.

In Reading, authorities are hunting for another suspect in the Ortiz shooting who's also wanted for attempted homicide in the city in 2018. He allegedly ran a heroin mill in Paterson, New Jersey, that was busted by the Drug Enforcement Administration in January. Several people have been arrested in connection with the shooting, which remains under investigation. He allegedly was angry at the intended target, Fernandez, for naming him in a 2011 drug bust that led to his imprisonment.

Red Sox fans have plenty to cheer about Saturday night.
