The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a four-year contract extension with quarterback Carson Wentz, the team announced Thursday. And Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence has a message for Wentz and all other quarterbacks getting big-money, long-term deals. Adam Schefter is reporting that Wentz's contract extension is worth $128 million, with guarantees over $107 million. Combined with the final two years of his rookie deal - including $4.1 million in 2019 and $22.8 million in 2020 - Wentz's contract is worth $154 million, with a max value of $170 million, over six years.

Wentz emerged in the 2017 season and was putting together an MVP-caliber campaign until suffering a season-ending torn ACL injury.

Coupled with this is the community's mistrust of outsiders , especially after years of attacks by warring rebel groups. Mayor of Beni Modeste Bakwanamaha added: "The victims were killed by bullets and others by bladed weapons".

Wentz, the second overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of North Dakota State, has been dynamic when on the field, but his first three NFL seasons have been marred by injuries. The injury also forced him to miss the first two games of 2018. He finished the year with 3,296 yards, 33 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Nick Foles took over and led the team to the Super Bowl from there.

For his career, the 26-year-old QB has passed for 70 touchdowns and 28 interceptions.
