Elon Musk Doesn't Learn, Posts Uncredited Artwork, Deletes Tweet

Serial-tweeting Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter Sunday night that he "just deleted" his account, 10 months after his use of the social media site to pump up the electric vehicle company's investment prospects landed him in trouble with USA securities regulators.

The Tesla CEO changed his Twitter display name to Daddy DotCom on Father's Day. Then he signalled in a tweet that he was scrapping the account.

Musk on Monday morning posted a tweet to his Twitter account, saying that he "just deleted my Twitter account".

After midnight on Monday, Musk tweeted, "Just deleted my Twitter account".

Paul Pogba: I'm thinking of taking on a new challenge elsewhere
Madrid are understood to be interested in Pogba as well but nothing has materialised as of yet. So when his experience at Manchester ends, why not come here to Madrid? ".

The fact that his account was still live more than eight hours later provided plenty of fodder for Musk's 27 million followers. As of this writing, the tweet has 125,000 likes-far more than the number of likes he normally gets on other tweets.

Musk denied the allegations, but he and Tesla eventually reached a $40 million settlement with the SEC after regulators threatened to seek his ouster as the company's CEO.

As part of the court settlement, Musk is required to have Twitter posts approved by a company lawyer if they have the potential to affect the company's stock. The final message culminated a unusual weekend for the billionaire chief executive in which he deleted tweets criticising Tesla co-founder Martin Eberhard and garnered backlash for comments about crediting artists online.
