Hezbollah-linked bomb factory in London "kept hidden" from 2015

This is more than was used in the Oklahoma City bombing that killed 168 people and damaged hundreds of buildings.

Radicals linked to Hezbollah stashed tons of explosive materials outside of London in a secret British bomb factory, the M15 and Metropolitan Police discovered in 2015.

The Daily Telegraph reported how Met Police officers and MI5 agents raided four properties in north-west London four years ago, finding thousands of disposable ice packs stuffed with ammonium nitrate, a crucial ingredient in bombs.

Hezbollah, which was founded in 1982 in Lebanon's civil war and fought a bloody conflict with Israel in 2006, regularly threatens to target Israeli interests around the world.

A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of plotting terrorist acts on behalf of Hezbollah, but was released without charge.

In 2015, Hussein Abdallah, an IJO operative, was arrested and later jailed for six years in Cyprus after authorities seized 8.2 tonnes of ammonium nitrate, some of which was stored in First Aid ice packs, the documents showed. The man's identity has been kept under wraps, as has the entire operation, which occurred in 2015, until now.

Amitabh Bachchan’s Twitter account hacked
Amitabh Bachchan has been in the news since the past hour since the actor's Twitter account was hacked by a Turkish hacker. In fact, back in 2013 and 2014; the group defaced United Nation's domains twice with anti-Israeli messages.

The paper said then prime minister David Cameron and interior minister Theresa May were informed but MPs who were debating whether to ban Hezbollah in Britain were not informed.

A British MP has demanded assurances that the United Kingdom did not cover up the discovery of a suspected Hezbollah bomb factory in London four years ago because it could scupper the newly signed Iran nuclear deal. The Telegraph article speculates that the British government kept the story quiet to avoid undermining the recently signed nuclear deal.

"The Security Service and police work tirelessly to keep the public safe from a host of national security threats".

'Necessarily, their efforts and success will often go unseen'. "Israeli officials confirmed that the Mossad [Israel's intelligence agency] provided the intel for the operation". Cells were uncovered in New York, Thailand, and Cyprus.

The Telegraph said that there were no signs that Britain would have been a target of the future attacks.

Hezbollah's militant wing was banned at the time but the Lebanese Shiite group in its entirety was only added to Britain's terrorist group list earlier this year. "Because of this, I have taken the decision to proscribe the group in its entirety".
