De Ligt's eye-watering Juventus salary revealed

As reported by Goal on Saturday , Juve are set to bid €70 million (£63m/$80m) for De Ligt in a bid to beat Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain to the defender.

According to Fox Sports, even Barcelona have admitted defeat in the quest of landing Matthijs de Ligt, meaning that one of Juventus or Paris Saint-Germain will seal his signature soon, the former side being the favourite to do so. "Corriere dello Sport" have revealed some of the details of the deal which will take the Dutch worldwide to the Old Lady, who will beat off competition from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

PSG and Barcelona remain interested in the central defender, who is considering the offer from the Italian champions.

"If Juve sign De Ligt then it's over [Serie A title]".

"With him, Juve will have hit the jackpot".

Windies all-rounder Andre Russell ruled out of World Cup with injury
Brathwaite nearly saved the day but was seen dropping to his knees in distress as the Kiwi players comforted him after he got out. Russell's place in the squad will be taken by 26-year-old Sunil Ambris , who has played six One-Day Internationals.

He added: "Let me be clear".

"Milan, Roma and Lazio won't participate in the title race for obvious technical delays and financial problems". That said, Cristiano Ronaldo has already played the agent's role and told de Ligt that he would be more than welcome at the Allianz Stadium.

The 19-year-old guided Ajax to last season's Champions League semi-final as captain, while also helping the Netherlands to the Nations League final, scoring in the semi-final victory over England.

"Shortly after the game, you are not at all concerned with it, you are disappointed you have lost and that is the only thing you are thinking about".

Juventus are reportedly looking to secure a deal for De Ligt in the region of £60m, but Ajax are holding out for a fee of £75m.
