Jack Clarke Tottenham Personal Terms Tipped To Be Formality

Leeds winger Jack Clarke is closing in on a move to Tottenham and has undergone a medical with the Premier League club, Press Association Sport understands.

Provided Tottenham are able to get the deal over the line, Clarke would be their first signing since Lucas Moura joined the club from Paris Saint-Germain in January 2018.

In addition, Leeds have secured a sell-on clause, while the Whites have secured the first option to loan Clarke if Tottenham decide to farm him out.

The same story claims that discussions between the two clubs have progressed over the last few days to leave Spurs close to completing a deal for the teenager.

He was transferred to a hospital in Santo Domingo, where he unfortunately suffered from cardiorespiratory arrest and died. This latest tourist death is the eleventh in the Dominican Republic during the last 12 months.

Clarke came through the youth system at the West Yorkshire club and made his first-team debut on 6 October past year against Brentford.

There had been talk of Clarke returning to Leeds on loan for the 2019/20 season, but reports suggest Spurs want the 18-year-old to fight for a place in the first-team next term.
