Joe made headlines after he told Lucie that he didn't like her talking to the other boys in the villa. She says "What do you think your family would think of me?"

"It is such an incredible experience and when you're doing it with someone you care about its just ideal. I don't normally take girls' advice but I'm actually going to give it a chance". I met somebody who I fell for so I have already won in that sense. I thought I did right'.

Last night, it was revealed to us that Lucie & Joe and Elma & Anton were voted as being the least compatible couples by their fellow Islanders.

"I promise you I would do everything and anything to help her because she had a hard time in there and didn't get on with the girls, I was trying to help her and make her experience as unbelievable as possible, I thought I did right. I was trying to help her and make her experience as fantastic as possible, I thought I did right". That is the dream.

Joe is confident Lucie will be shocked to hear what's been said of her relationship with him.

"I would have found it really hard without her in there so I would have left but I spoke to her and she is there for an experience as well".

In tonight's episode, speaking on the day beds shortly after Joe was given the boot, Lucie's frienemy Amy says: "We've all had our differences but situations like this make you realise that we all need to stick together. I don't want her to quit".

Toys R Us to reopen stores in USA later this year
The reincarnated Toys R Us project is being led by former company executive Richard Barry who is now the CEO of Tru Kids Inc. At 10,000 square feet, the new stores will only be about a third of the size of the old ones.

However, many viewers reckoned that editing had a big part to play in portraying Joe so negatively.

Love Island fans think that Joe Garrett will be the next to be dumped.

One scene in particular, in which Joe asked Lucie not to be friends with Tommy and spend more time with the girls instead, sparked hundreds of complaints to Ofcom, the broadcasting authority in the UK.

Joe said he was "gutted" viewers perceived his actions as abusive, and insisted he was only "trying to help her" because she was having "a hard time" on the show. Joe and Lucie are not broken up!

He said: "I'll wait for her". "Because you could clearly see me and Joe and feelings for each other". I may have slipped up a bit but I am only human'.

The Londoner added he hopes the public will see him for who he "genuinely is" following his exit and believes the "intense nature" of the show is to blame for twisting the way things looked from the outside.
