LG V50 ThinQ 5G gets a Verizon release date

LG Electronics Inc. has said it plans to release the company's V50 ThinQ in the USA this week with Verizon, its second American telecom partner for the 5G smartphone. Of course, the two Moto Z models require the purchase of a $199.99 5G Moto Mod that attaches to the back of both phones. Here's just a taste of the cool features LG packed into the LG V50 ThinQ 5G. That works out to a 19.5:9 aspect ratio giving the screen a sleek modern look. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

In terms of optics, the rear of the smartphone sports a triple camera setup in a 12MP+12MP+16MP configuration. In front, you'll find dual 8MP selfie snappers. It runs Android Pie with LG UX 8.0 running atop. Verizon has a limited time offer for customers wanting the new LG phone.

The LG V50 ThinQ 5G smartphone was first made known to us earlier this year.

The hearings will end on June 25 and the tariffs will not come into effect until after July 2, when a seven-day final rebuttal comment period ends.

Priced $1,000 outright, qualified Verizon customers can spread payments out to the tune of $41.66 for 24 months. Existing subscribers can add a new unlimited line to score the prepaid card. Verizon was also one of the early proponents of 5G in the country.

LG's 5G push comes as it has been stepping up efforts to expand its market share in the USA, which stood at 15 percent past year. If you aren't living in a market covered by Verizon's 5G signals, you can still order the phone. For everyone else, you get 4G LTE.
