Investigators To Name Suspects In Malaysian Flight MH17 Crash

Investigators today named three Russian suspects and one Ukranian behind the MH17 flight which crashed over Ukraine in July, 2014.

Global investigators on Wednesday charged four people with murder over the 2014 shooting down of flight MH17 above rebel-held eastern Ukraine in which 298 people were killed.

Worldwide arrest warrants have been issued for the four men. "They will also be placed on national and global wanted lists", Dutch police chief Wilbert Paulissen told a press conference.

A former military intelligence officer who served in Afghanistan and Chechnya before becoming the Russia-backed separatists' intelligence head, Dubinsky is accused of overseeing the transport of the Buk missile launcher used to down MH17.

Moscow say they do not trust the global investigation.

Russian Federation is not expected to surrender any potential suspects who may be on its territory and authorities have said individuals could be tried in absentia. "The militia does not have anything to do with this".

The JIT said the individuals, who were fighting on the side of the rebel forces in eastern Ukraine, received a Buk surface-to-air missile from Russia, possibly provided by the Russian military.

Ukraine's top prosecutor has said the country will try to arrest Kharchenko and, if he is detained, will arrange for him to be tried via video-link.

"This is what we hoped for", Ms Fredriksz-Hoogzand said. They deny everything, they don't cooperate.

MH17 was shot down while flying over the Ukraine, killing all on board.

He told Al Jazeera: "It's created to send a message, but this is nowhere near what you'd need for an invasion or a war". The 2015 nuclear deal with Iran aimed to head off any pathway to an Iranian nuclear bomb.

Asked Russia would ever hand suspects over for trial or put them on trial in Russia, Peskov said the Kremlin's position was already clear.

Surviving relatives speak to the press at the press conference of the Joint Investigation Team. "I can only say that rebels did not shoot down the Boeing", he told Russia's Interfax news agency. "It's a start. I'm satisfied".

Asked if she personally blamed anyone for the crash, Fredriksz said: "Mr (Russian President Vladimir) Putin". He created this situation.

However, despite gleaning this information about the responsible authorities, the precise perpetrators remained a mystery.

After the disappearance of MH17, a social media account linked to Girkin claimed responsibility for shooting down a Ukrainian military aircraft in the area.

"The relatives of the victims have been waiting for this for almost five years", he said. The 283 passengers (193 Dutch victims) and 15 crew members all died in the crash.

The other passengers killed include Belgians, Germans, Filipinos and a Canadian.

Dutch National Police confirm the missile came from a Russian military unit in Kursk and was driven across the border and launched from Ukraine.

The four suspects did not push the button themselves but were responsible for bringing the missile system to eastern Ukraine, therefore they can be held criminally liable, investigators said. Exactly who gave the order to shoot however, is still unclear said Bellingcat.

If Russian suspects are charged in the Netherlands, it remains to be seen whether they would ever appear for trial.
