Gaten Matarazzo’s New Netflix Hidden Camera Show Sounds A Bit Yikes

Gaten Matarazzo of Stranger Things has signed on to star in and produce a new prank show for Netflix, although the premise of the series is a little bit of an eyebrow-raiser.

In the hidden-camera series, two strangers are told that they're starting their first day at a job, but then everything seems to fall apart. It's business as usual until their paths collide and these part-time jobs turn into full-time nightmares.

"Prank Encounters" hails from Propagate and has Matarazzo, Ben Silverman, Howard T. Owens, Kevin Healey and Rob Hyde on board as executive producers.

The announcement comes less than a month out from the Season 3 premiere of "Stranger Things" on July 4.

Hong Kong stocks open with further losses
The protests threaten to shake confidence in the hub for many regional and global businesses and investors. European stock are expected to fall, with futures Britain's FTSE and Germany's DAX down about 0.2%.

Gaten Matarazzo, known for his performance as the nerdy and adorable Dustin Henderson on "Stranger Things", is branching out at Netflix.

He also has a band with his sisters Sabrina and Carmen and and other fellow Pinelands Regional students and alumni called Work in Progress, which is touring this summer.

When not filming, the 16-year-old devotes his time to raising awareness about cleidocranial dysplasia - a condition that affects the development of bones and teeth. With the help of a Utah-based doctor, Matarazzo launched CCD Smiles, a Foundation built to help families pay their children's dental bills.
