Pittsburgh hockey national player Dominik Kahun changes in the North American professional League NHL by the Chicago Blackhawks to Pittsburgh Penguins. He'll earn just a shade over $4 million for the next three seasons, which will help the Blackhawks in their continued efforts to navigate under the pressures of the salary cap.

The 24-year-old Jyväskylä, Finland native was the Penguins 22nd overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft. He is a fast, versatile player who can play in attack in all three positions.

The Hawks will be parting ways with Dominik Kahun after just one season in which he posted 13 goals and 24 assists over 82 games. "We are very excited for him to join our team". The 23-year-old is entering the final year of his entry-level contract and will be a restricted free agent at the end of next season.

Maatta had trouble cracking the top blue lines for Pittsburgh, but has produced when he has been given the chance scoring 25 goals and adding 82 assists in 362 career games with the Penguins. He spent the last six seasons with the team. He has also played for Germany in the World Championship (2016, '17, '18, '19), World Junior Championship ('13, '14, '15), and World Under-18 Championship ('12, '13).
