As the date of the ICC Cricket World Cup showdown between India and Pakistan draws near, a new ad by Pakistani mobile provider Jazz employed the image of Adhinandan Varthaman, the Indian fighter pilot who was downed during the 27 February aerial engagement over Kashmir, to deliver a jab against their Indian rivals.

The advertisement war in run-up to the Sunday's clash between the arch-rivals, has heated up with TV channels in both the countries putting out despicable ads.

This comes after Star Sports, the official broadcaster in India, released a promotional video for the match around the Father's Day theme.

The advertisement has an actor parodying Abhinandan.

Sania is an Indian citizen married to a Pakistani cricketer.

He is heard repeating the pilot's lines from the video that was released by Pakistan defence forces after Abhinandan's capture.

However, unlike the Indian braveheart's calm expression throughout the questioning, the actor in the ad looks frightened and jumpy. While Pakistani broadcaster released a 33-second video which mocks IAF pilot Abhinandan Varthaman who was captured in the country.

New York ends religious exemptions for vaccines amid measles outbreak
Supporters of the bill say they understand the objections on religious grounds but public health takes precedent in this case. Brad Hoylman, D-New York City, said lawmakers needed to expedite the vote because of the public health crisis.

But while the ad is clearly supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek safe on a latest India-Pakistan incident, it has struck a nerve in India, with many on social media calling it "insensitive" and "outrageous".

The tagline "cup kaha lay k ja rae ho" is the best thing in this advert.

Meanwhile, others questioned International Cricket Council's silence on this.

A few customers own also asked India to safe the ad in its trail and retaliate by winning the match in opposition to Pakistan.

The India-Pak cricket rivalry has been one of the most intense and intensified sports rivalries.

The ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 saw some mouth-watering clashes between the teams from the word go but the highly-anticipated sporting carnival between India and Pakistan is yet to be played.
