Mom Gets Arrested for Storming Into School and Confronting Her Child’s Bullies

Jamie Rathburn is accused of walking into Greenbrier Elementary School, in the U.S. state of SC, on May 17 before emotionally confronting classmates of her son, who is in the third grade The Greenville News reports.

Jamie Louise Rathburn was arrested and charged after she shared a since-deleted video of herself confronting a group of third-graders, according to a report by Greenville News. Rathburn admitted on video that "she snuck into the school and confronted kids that she estimated to be nine years old".

Security video shows Rathburn entering the school, ignoring a sign-in requirement and going to her son's classroom, where she's seen circling the children.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office said the mom went to her son's class May 17 during the morning school drop-off. She says that her son had dealt with bullying all year long, and school officials did nothing to stop it from happening. According to Rathburn, classmates teased the boy about his hair, called him names, struck him with a computer and once jerked him off the slide by his throat.

In an interview with Greenville News, Rathburn apologized for her emotional outburst, but said she did not know when else to do. "I can't watch them on field day".

She said her son has been subjected to bullying since at least last December. She walked straight up to her son's classroom and addressed the children lined up, waiting for class to begin. In another statement to police, the teacher said that Rathburn "cursed him repeatedly", once he was able to get into the classroom. "As class mom, that's devastating", she said.

Depending on your behavior, it can be determined whether or not you are using exam dumps and if so, penalties will be imposed. As you can see the retake policy is a bit lenient, but it is still wise to make sure that you pass at the first attempt.

"I am absolutely ashamed of myself for the actions of walking up into that school", Rathburn said.

It was the next day that she confronted the children before class.

"I dont know when it's time to protect [my] child's mental health, but I think [doing something] now before something bad happens is better than five years from now when something bad has already happened". Absolutely, it was wrong.

"Honestly, I don't know how I could have gotten my message across any other way", she told the outlet. Brian Sherman, assistant to the superintendent for the school district, said that he could not comment specifically on the Rathburn case, but he told the paper that determining whether bullying happens can be hard to decipher, especially when kids provide alternative accounts of what happened.

"We have 91 schools", Brian Sherman, assistant to the school district's superintendent said. "Anybody making 300 decisions a day will make mistakes".
