A summer in Golden State's system could lead to his best opportunity yet. The Warriors are one of four teams participating in the California Classic from July 1-3, as well as the traditional summer action in Las Vegas from July 5-15.

Jimmer Fredette was a prolific scorer in college although unfortunately, his skillset hasn't really translated very well into the National Basketball Association.

The 30-year-old was the 10th overall pick in the 2011 draft, but he's found his most success in China.

Windies all-rounder Andre Russell ruled out of World Cup with injury
Brathwaite nearly saved the day but was seen dropping to his knees in distress as the Kiwi players comforted him after he got out. Russell's place in the squad will be taken by 26-year-old Sunil Ambris , who has played six One-Day Internationals.

The Kings bought out Fredette's contract midway in his third year with the team. He only averaged 3.7 points on 27.6 percent shooting in six games with the Suns at the end of last season.

The Golden State Warriors will have shooting guard Jimmer Fredette suit up for their Summer League roster after the veteran journeyman returned from a successful stint in China, assistant general manager Larry Harris told 95.7 The Game. He's since had stints with the Chicago Bulls, New Orleans Pelicans, New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns.

The Warriors will likely be in need of some cheap contributors in the backcourt in 2019-20, with Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant potentially both being on the roster and unable to play.
