However, Stroman took to Twitter after the game to reiterate that he truly does believe Trout can go down as the greatest player in Major League Baseball history.

Wednesday evening in Toronto Trout again showed why the Angels pay him the big bucks. Trout has hit two monster homer runs to left and center field one of which was a grand slam and he has driven in seven runs which is surprisingly a career-high for Trout.

Naturally, he used to come to Blue Jays games as a fan growing up. They have lost seven consecutive home games for the first time since they lost eight in a row at home April 5-21, 2004.

"This is the best I've felt all season, just getting a pitch to hit and not missing it, just barrelling the ball", Trout said. "That's all you do". "Once you're in the game you've just got to go up there and compete".

"I've been on the other side where I've won 10 games in a row so it is what it is".

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. supplied the offence for the Blue Jays (26-47) on a solo home run.

Stroman was coming off his worst start of the season last week, when he allowed six runs over 5 2/3 innings against Arizona.

Voice-activated Monopoly tells players: 'You're bankrupt!'
When you need to pay rent or collect a card, press a button on the device and humbly speak to the diminutive penny-pincher. Having been around for 84 years at this point, Monopoly is a game that's gone through a large number of variations.

This is the third consecutive season that Sanchez has struggled with finger issues on his throwing hand, although Toronto manager Charlie Montoyo said before the game that Sanchez came out of his most recent start with all his digits in working order.

"In the count, you know you're predictable, 3-2, he probably knows you are going to throw a heater", Sanchez said. But in three separate games he has been forced from the mound early when finger issues flared up, most recently on May 27 against Tampa Bay. He ranks first in slugging (.651), on-base percentage (.462), walks (65) and runs (59).

"He hasn't had five straight starts of consistent work", Montoyo said before the game. "So whenever he gets to that point he'll get it". He was set to play seven innings with Orem Wednesday.

The top of the second began with Guerrero atoning for that mistake, climbing the ladder, legs askew, to make a spectacular snare off a line-drive shot by Justin Bour for the first out.

Tellez erased a 3-0 deficit with a three-run homer off Andrew Heaney in the second, but Trout put the Angels in front for good with his slam in the fourth. Jonathan Lucroy singled leading off the inning, Rengifo doubled and La Stella reached first on catcher interference to load the bases. This time, it was a grand slam off an 0-1 fastball from Sanchez which would give the Angels a 7-3 lead. He pitched a near ideal 1 2/3 innings, including striking out Mike Trout - who had already homered twice in the game - and Shohei Ohtani in the eighth inning. Eric Sogard hit a two-run double which made it 7-5 Angels.

But L.A. padded its lead with two more in the seventh.
