Arnold said her family has been concerned, especially with reports of three other deaths at a different resort in the hotel.

Maryland couple Edward Nathaniel Holmes, 63, and Cynthia Day, 49, were found dead just five days later on May 30 at the Bahia Principe hotel from the same reported cause of death, The Daily Caller News Foundation previously reported. The FBI is helping local authorities investigate these deaths.

American tourist Bell Wallace became sick and urinated blood after having a single whisky from his room's minibar on April 11. As for Schaup-Werner, Dominican officials said she had a heart attack, but her brother-in-law, Jay McDonald, insisted she died of respiratory failure and had drank from the bar.
