United, Palace talk Wan-Bissaka transfer

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will receive a "seven-fold" wage increase if he swaps Crystal Palace for Manchester United this summer, according to reports.

The Daily Mail go on to add that Wan-Bissaka will form "a centrepiece" of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's revamp of the Manchester United squad.

Solskjaer, meanwhile, was involved in several battles against the Whites when Leeds were last in the Premier League before relegation in 2004 and the Norwegian manager is already relishing the prospect of again locking horns with the Whites.

As such, the Red Devils may have very little wiggle room to work with during their attempt to land Wan-Bissaka on a permanent deal this summer.

A £55 million fee had reportedly been agreed between the two clubs, and if true, the sum would surpass the fee paid by both Manchester City for Benjamin Mendy (£52m) and Real Madrid for Ferland Mendy (£47m).

The defender will then head to United's training base Carrington to complete his medical with the "Red Devils" after agreeing to a £80,000 per week deal at Old Trafford.

Wan-Bissaka is now away with the England U21s at the European Championships but the Three Lions are coming home early after losing their opening two group games so this should help speed-up the full-backs move to United.

The Red Devils signed Wales global Daniel James in a £15m deal from Swansea City earlier this month to start their summer spending.
