Villa have confirmed that Jota has swapped his blue top for claret one.

Dean Smith quit Brentford to take charge of his boyhood club in October and he masterminded a stunning march up the table. He's a superb, talented player and Birmingham signed him as their record transfer.

"Dean is my old manager and I couldn't be happier for him and his assistant Richard O'Kelly as well. He's got great ability, great balance and a great eye for both goals and assists", Smith said.

Villa are understood to have paid a fee of around £4million for Jota, in addition to letting Gardner depart. The 27-year-old attacker becomes Dean Smith's first signing in the Premier League.

Bruins fan flipping off the Blues is a Big Mood
So I guess to answer your original question, it was egregious. Chara will start Game 5 for the Bruins, because of course.

Jota will provide the boss with another option on the flanks following last week's departure of Albert Adomah. Becoming a Premier League player was important for me and something I've been looking for.

"There was a great atmosphere at Villa Park every time and I'm proud to be part of this club now".

"They are up, we would have liked to have played them next season and beaten them but you never know how the cup runs go".

Villa midfielder Gary Gardner has gone in the opposite direction, joining Championship side Birmingham on a three-year deal.
